let the no. of non fruit trees be x and fruit trees be y

so, according to the question
x=3y+2
and x+y=102
x=102-y

now, substituting the value of x in equation 1
102-y=3y+2
102-2=3y+y
100=4y
100/4=y
25=y


x=102-y
x=102-25
x=77


hence the no. of fruit trees are 25 and non fruit trees are 77
