People usually keep burning coal in their house during winter season why is it advised to keep the door open

Coal is an organic substance.So burning of coal produces high amount of Carbon dioxide gas and little amounts of Carbon monoxide gas.

The Carbon monoxide gas is very poisonous.Although Carbon dioxide is not poisonous ,it cuts the amount of oxygen present.Thus it may cause suffocation.

Hence it is advised to keep windows open while burning coal.
