Terai has hot and humid climate so the people wear thin cotton clothes , sometimes there is rain because of Nepal monsoon winds And in Himalayan is at the high range and there is snow falling also that is why people wear thick woollen clothes.

Answer:

Terai has hot and humid climate so the people wear thin cotton clothes , sometimes there is rain because of Nepal monsoon winds And in Himalayan is at the high range and there is snow falling also that is why people wear thick woollen clothes.

Explanation:

The Himalayan region is located at a height of more than 3300m above sea level. Similar to Terai, the hilly region's altitude spans from 600 to 3300 meters above sea level. In Tarai, it is hot, whereas the Himalayas are freezing.

More rain falls on the Terai's eastern side than on its western side. Floods therefore affect it throughout the rainy season. The weather is scorching in Terai. Since cotton fabrics absorb sweat and help the body cool off, they are ideal for the summer when we tend to perspire more. Cotton promotes greater airflow, which aids in absorbing and eliminating body moisture from perspiration through evaporation. People dress in light cotton outfits as a result.

Large amounts of trapped air are found in woollen clothing. Air and wool are both ineffective heat conductors. We feel warm and cosy because air does not enable the body heat to escape because it is a poor conductor of heat.
