They are called independent candidates.
Independent candidates are the people whose ideologies differ from the any existing political party. Hence, they are not affiliated to any party.
Till now, no independent candidate has reached the position of President and Prime Minister in India.
These type of candidates also fight the elections to distract the voters and to cause loss to rival party. In some cases, they also have similar names to already existing political parties.
