Over the course of history, fashion changed significantly, but its core function remained the same. Today, people follow fashion to keep the pace with the latest trends. Fashion has become an important part of many people's lives, regardless of age, and often name brands make individuals feel better about themselves.

For me fashion is born out of ego and status rivalry between some poeple. It is born out of the fact that people want to show of more and present themselves in a better possible way. It's not that they want the comforts in their dress. For a comparative study we can see a beggar and a poor person wearing dress which is keeping them safe from the harsh weather, for them style never matters. But as we move forwards in the status ladder we can see people want to show off more. Their dressing sense reflects their status. This craze has driven in the whole world. Even in the country ruled by God's the western culture and passion for fancy dresses have greatly evolved. This is just because of feeling of inferiority. I also think that as man gets prosperous he wants to shed more money this is also a reason by which fashion got promoted. Fashion is one of the feature of advancement too as we can see how man evolved in the dressing from animal skins to artificial fabrics woven into gorgeous designs.
