It is true that Per Capita income is not a fool proof measure of
country’s development and prosperity. There are many other parameters to
measure our development and prosperity. People should get basic
education, everyone should be able to afford for basic facilities like
electricity, water etc. They should be safe and secure and no threats to
lives should be there. Various parts of the country should be well
connected and accessible to everyone. There should be no discrimination
among people. Everyone should live with dignity. Then only we can say a
country is developed and prosperous. Only per capita income doesn't give
you a clear picture of a country's development.
