%error in mass =2%

%error in velocity =3%

kE=1/2mv^2

2+2×3

Given:

Percentage error in mass (m) = 2%

Percentage error in speed (v) = 3%

Percentage error in Kinetic Energy (KE) = ?

We know,

\boxed{KE = \dfrac{1}{2}m{v}^{2}}

To find percentage error

 \dfrac{\Delta KE}{KE} \times 100\% = \dfrac{\Delta m}{m} \times 100\%  + 2\dfrac{\Delta v}{v} \times 100\%

 = 2\%  + 2 \times 3\%

 = 2\% + 6\%

 = 8\%
