The %of water absorbed by roots depends on plant type ,the condition in which plant is growing or what type of factors are their. Basically the photosynthesis process differs for every plant ,it depends on water availablity,is that tree long or short,or is the climate hot or humid, as climate affects rate of Transpiration ,hence there can be no one correct and for it as it differs for every plant.
