Two candidates A and B contested an election. The total votes polled were 70,000. If A got 56% of the votes, find the number of votes received by each.​

Votes polled = 80% of 60000

i.e 80/100*60000

=48000

Votes received by B is 100%- 60%  

=40%

therefore votes received by B is 40/100 * 48000

=19200
