Perform a dissolving test of crushed and uncrushed granules of salt with
the following materials on the table below including the amount.
Materials
1.1/2teaspoon crushed salt
4.2 same stirrers
5.2 Watches or any timer
2.1/2teaspoon uncrushed salt
3.2 uniform transparent
drinking glasses both
half-filled with water

experiment: Water can dissolve salt because the positive part of water molecules attracts the negative chloride ions and the negative part of water molecules attracts the positive sodium ions. The amount of a substance that can dissolve in a liquid (at a particular temperature) is called the solubility of the substance.

observation: Salts dissolve quicker in hot water compared to cold water (of course, assuming the same amount of enough water to dissolve salts).
