To test for Nitric oxide (NO2) & Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) :

PROCEDURE 1. add this oxide in water drop by drop with constant stirring

2. Now take a blue litmus

3. Observe the changes

OBSERVATION : The blue litmus changes to red

CONCLUSION : Since the blue litmus changes to red it shows the presence of acid .

RESULT : Thus , these oxides are acidic in nature

Explanation:

Since we all know that non-metallic oxides are acidic in nature ...this is a simple activity through which ypu can prove as well

Also instead of blue litmus one caj take other indicators as well like turmeric ,methyl orange etc
