There were two traditions of religious ceremonies in India - Vedic and Tantric. Shivaji Maharaj honoured both the traditions and had two coronation ceremonies performed. On 6th June 1674, Shivaji Maharaj had himself coronated at Raigad by Pandit Gagabhatt.
