Answer:

Length= 21m and Breadth=17m

Step-by-step explanation:

Here at last we took length 21 and Breadth 17 and not l= 17 and b= 21 because length always greater than Breadth.

Hope it will help you !!!

Answer

Length = 21 m

Breadth = 17 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of flower bed = 76 meter.

Fomula of perimeter = 2×(L+B)

2×(L+B). = 76 meter

(L+B). = 76/2

L = 38 - B

Area of flower bed = 357 meter²

Formula of area. = L×B

= 38 - B × (B)

= 38 B - B²

38 B - B² = 357

38 B - B² + 357 = 0

Now by splitting middle term

B² - 21 B - 17 B + 357 = 0

(B² - 21B) -(17B + 357) = 0

B(B - 21) - 17(B - 21) = 0

(B - 17) ( B - 21) = 0

So length = 21 , breadth = 17.
