Given:-

Perimeter = 56cm

Length = 17cm

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(l+b)

56 ⇒ 2(17+b)

28 ⇒ 17b

b ⇒ (28 - 17)

b ⇒ 11cm

Area of the rectangle = (b)

(17×11)cm²

187cm²

Since, Perimeter = 56 cm and length = 17 cm

Breadth = ?

Let breadth be b

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)

56 = 2 (17 + b)

56 = 34 + 2b

56 - 34 = 2b

22 = 2b

b = 22/2

b = 11

Hence, breadth = 11 cm

Hope it helps
