Answer : perimeter = 20cm

length = 7cm

perimeter = 2(L+B)

20 = 2(7+B)

20= 14 + 2B

20 - 14 = 2B

6 = 2B

B = 6/2

B = 3

area of rectangle = L× B

= 7 × 3

= 21 m^2

Answer:

The area of the rectangle is equal to  21cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider that 'L' s the length of the rectangle and 'B' is the breadth of the rectangle

Given, the perimeter of the rectangle = 20cm

The length of  given rectangle = 7cm

We can calculate the perimeter of a rectangle from:-

Perimeter = 2× (Length + Breadth)

or Perimeter = 2\times (L+B)

Substitute the value of perimeter and length in the above equation:-

20 = 2(7+B)20= 14 + 2B20 - 14 = 2B6 = 2B

B = 6/2B = 3

Now, we get the breadth of the rectangle is equal to 3cm.

We know, area of a rectangle = Length × Breadth

Area = 7cm \times 3cm\\Area = 21cm^2

Therefore, the area of the rectangle is equal to 21cm².
