Answer:

Let the length and breadth be 7x and 4x

Step-by-step explanation:

Length=7x

Breadth=4x

Perimeter=2(l+b)

440m= 2(7x+4x)

=2×11x

=22x

x=440/22

x=20

Length=7×20=140

Breadth=4×20=80

Cost of fencing 440m=440×150

=66000

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider 7x as the length and 4x as the breadth of the rectangular field.

So we get,

 Perimeter=2(l+b)

2(7x+4x)=440

       2(11x)=440

             22x=440

                  x=11 m

Here,

Length =7x

             =77 m

Breadth =4x

               =44 m

Cost of fencing =150 Rs./m

So the cost of fencing will be,

⇒150×440

⇒Rs. 66,000
