perimeter of a parallelogram is 210 m. if one side exceeds the other by 70m. f ind the length of the sides​

Answer:

Let a side be x now other will be x + 70

Now opposite sides are equal in parallelogram so

Parameter = 2 ( x + x + 70 ) =210

or 2x + 70 = 210/2 = 105

or 2x = 105 - 70 = 35

or x = 35/2 = 17.5 m

And other side = 70 + 17 . 5 = 87 . 5 m

Let 1 of the sides be x then other one will be x + 70

Perimeter =2(x+x+70)=210

So x=35/2=17.5

x+70=87.5

*****note that a parallelogram has equal length of opp pair of sides
