 \huge \boxed{ \bf{answer}}

GIVEN :

Perimeter of the rectangle = 42 cm

Length of the rectangle = 13 cm

Breadth : ?

To find : The breadth of the rectangle.

Let the breadth be 'x'

Now,

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l + b)

=> 42 = 2(13 + x)

=> 21 = 13 + x

=> x = 21 - 13

=> x = 8

So, the breadth of the rectangle is 8 cm.

 \boxed{ \bf{extra \: information \: about \: rectangle}}

=> Area = length × breadth

=> Perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

=> A rectangle has equal diagonals

=> Opposite sides of a rectangle are equal and parallel

=> All the interior angles are of 90°

=> Sum of all the interior angles = 360°
