perimeter of rectangle = 100 m
⇒ 2(x+y) = 100
⇒ x+y = 50  --------- eq.1
Original area = xy
decreased length = x-2
increased breadth=y+3
new area= xy+44
⇒(x-2)(y+3)=xy +44
⇒ xy+3x-2y-6=xy+44
⇒3x-2y=50
⇒3x-2y=x+y            [from  eq.1]
⇒2x=3y
⇒x=(3/2)y

from eq.1
      x+y=50
⇒(3/2)y+y=50
⇒ 5y/2=50
⇒ 5y=100
⇒ y=20
   ∴x=30

             Hope it helps u :-)
