Answer:

the formula for perimeter is 2(l+b).

therefore 2(l+11/4)=13

l+11/4=13/2

l=13/2-11/4

l=3.75

GiVeN :-

Perimeter = 13cm

Width/Breadth = 11/4cm

To FiNd :-

Length of the rectangle = ?

FoRmUlA uSeD :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length+breadth)

SoLuTiOn :-

Perimeter = 13cm

Width/Breadth = 11/4cm

According to Question ,

\rm  \rightarrow Perimeter = 2(l+b)

\rm \rightarrow 13 = 2(l +  \frac{11}{4} )

\rm \rightarrow 13 = 2l +  \frac{22}{4}

\rm \rightarrow 13  -  \frac{22}{4}  = 2l

\rm \rightarrow  \frac{52 - 22}{4}  = 2l

\rm \rightarrow  \frac{30}{4}  = 2l

\rm \rightarrow l =  \frac{30}{4 \times 2}

\rm \rightarrow l =  \frac{ \cancel{30}}{ \cancel{8}}

\boxed{ \rm{ \therefore length =  \frac{15}{4} }}
