Solution -

Let's assume the breadth as x meters

So, the length as 3x meters

According to Question,

Perimeter of rectangle = 196 meters

2 (length + breadth) = 196 m

2(3x + x) = 196

⇒ 4x = 196 / 2

⇒ 4x = 98

⇒ x = 98 / 4

⇒ x = 49 / 2 Or 24.5

Required measurements -

Breadth = x = 24.5 meters

Length = 3x = 3(24.5) = 73.5 meters

Hence, the length and breadth of rectangle is 73.5 meters and 24.5 meters respectively

Let, breadth = x

so, length = 3x

Given,perimeter of rectangle = 196 m

perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+B)

196 = 2(3x+x)

196 = 8x

x = 24.5 cm

breadth of rectangle = 24.5 cm

length of rectangle = 73.5 cm
