let the breadth be y m

then,it's length be y +2 m

perimeter of a rectangle = 2(y + y +2)m

= 2y + 2y +4

= 4y + 4 m

According to the question:-

4y + 4 = 20

4y = 20 - 4

y = 16 ÷ 4

y = 4

breadth = 4 m

length = y + 2 m

= 4+2 m

= 6 m
