Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth of a rectangle be b

and lenght of rectangle be (2+b)

Given:Perimeter =2(l+b

24 =2(2+b+b)

24 =2(2+2b)

24 =4+4b

24-4=4b

20=4b

20/4=b=5

Therefore

breadth of the rectangle is = 5m

Solution

Given :-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 24 m
  • If length of a rectangle is 2 meters more than its bredth,

Find :-

  • Breathe if rectangle

Explanation

Formula

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ×(Length + Breadth)

Let

  • Length be = x
  • Breadth be = y

According to question,

case1.

==> Perimeter of rectangle = 24

==> 2 × ( x + y ) = 24

==> x + y = 24/2

==> x + y = 12____________(1)

Case 2.

==> x = 2 + y

==> x - y = 2__________(2)

Add equ(1) & equ(2)

==> 2x = 14

==> x = 14/2

==> x = 7

Keep un equ(1)

==> 7 + y = 12

==> y = 13 - 7

==> y = 6

Hence

  • Length of rectangle will be = 7 m
  • Breadth of Rectangle will be = 6 m
