Let the breadth of rectangle be x units. (b)

Since the length exceeds the breadth by 5 units, length of the rectangle = (x+5)units (l)

According to the question, Perimeter = 29

=> 2(l+b) = 29

=> x+5+x = 29/2

=> 2x+5 = 14.5

=> 2x = 14.5 - 5

=> 2x = 9.5

=> x = 9.5/2 = 4.25

Thus, length = (x+5) units = (4.25+5) units = 9.25 units

Breadth = x units = 4.25 units
