Perimeter of a rectangle is 2m less than 2/5 of the perimeter of a square .if the perimeter of the sqaure is 40m then find the length if breadth is 1/3 of the length

Perimeter of square = 40 m

Perimeter of Rectangle = (2/5 of 40) - 2

= 16 - 2 = 14 m

ATQ,

2(l+b) = 14

l + b = 7

x + x/3 = 7

3x + x = 21

4x = 21

x = 21/4

x= 5.25 m
