Hello mate..

Question:

Perimeter of a rectangle is 50 m and its length is 20 m. Calculate its breadth.

Solution:

GIVEN:

  • Perimeter of a rectangle = 50cm.
  • Length of a rectangle = 20cm.

TO FIND:

Breadth.

Let's Find:

\underline\bold{perimeter \: of \: rectangle  = 2(l + b)}

50cm = 2(20 + b)

50 = 40 + 2b

50 - 40 = 2b

2b = 10cm

\bold{b =  \frac{10}{2} }

b = 5cm

Therefore breadth of the rectangle is '5cm'.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU..
