Answer:

Hey dear,

◆ Answer-

A = 640 sq.units

P = 112 units

◆ Explanation-

# Given-

4 sides of rectangle-

2x+y+8

x+4

4x-y

2y

# Solution-

In a rectangle opposite sides are equal.

2x+y+8 = 4x-y

2x-2y-8 = 0

x-y-4 = 0 ...(1)

x+4 = 2y

x-2y+4 = 0 ...(2)

Solving (1) & (2),

x = 12 units

y = 8 units

Thus

length l = 4x-y = 4×12 - 8 = 40 units

Breadth b = 2y = 2×8 = 16 units

Perimeter

P = 2(l+b)

P = 2(40+16)

P = 112 units

Area

A = l×b

A = 40×16

A = 640 sq.units

Hope that is helpful...
