L=W+2⇒L−W=2...(1)and 2(L+W)=44⇒L+W=22...(2)Adding (1) and (2), 2L=24⇒L=12∴W=10Hence, Area of rectangle =L×W=12×10cm

answer =120cm

Given - Length = 2 centimetres

Width = 16 centimetres

Find - Perimeter of rectangle

Solution - Perimeter of rectangle can be calculated using length and breadth through the formula - 2*(l + b). Here, l is length and b is breadth.

Keeping the values in formula to get value of perimeter.

Perimeter = 2*(2 + 16)

Firstly performing addition operation -

Perimeter = 2*18

Now, doing multiplication to finally get the value of perimeter.

Perimeter = 36 centimetres

Therefore, perimeter of a rectangle is 36 centimetres.
