we know that the perimeter of rectangle be 2(l+b)

but here

perimeter = 14 cm

hence 2(2x+4+x) = 14

=. 2( 3x+4 ). = 14

6x+ 8 = 14

hence

length = 2x+4

= 2(1)+4

= 6cm

and breadth = x

= 1 cm
