Let the breadth be x
Therefore, length=x+2
perimeter=2(l+b)
72=2(x+x+2)
72/2=2x +2
2x= 36-2
2x=34
x=17
Therefore,
breadth=x=17
length=x+2=19

Let the breadth be x and length be x+2.
then,
perimeter of rectangular garden = 2(length+breadth)
→ 72 = 2(x+2+x)
→ 72 = 2(2x+2)
→ 72 = 4x+4
→ 72-4 = 4x
→ 4x = 68
→ x = 68/4
→ x = 17
so, length = x+2 = 17+2 = 19
breadth = x = 17
Hence, the dimensions are 17 m and 19 m.
