Answer:

Perimeter of a square is given by 4a and the perimeter of a circle is given by 2πr. Now place the value of equation (i) in the formula of area of a Circle. Now, comparing the equations (iii) and (iv) we find that 1.27a2>a2. Therefore, the area of a Circle is greater than the area of a square.

Let the radius of the circle ber.

∴ Area of Circle= πr

2

.

and the circumference=2πr

The perimeter of the square is equal to circumference of circle.

∴ Its one side =1/4×2πr= 2πr.

So Area of Square =( πr/2)^2.

AreaOfSquare

AreaOfcircle =πr^2:(πr/2^2) = 4/π=4×7/22= 14/11>1.

So, Area of Circle > Area of Square
