Answer :

Given :

★Side of square = 15cm

★One side of a rectangle = 18cm

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

To find :

Area of the rectangle

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Formula used :

Perimeter of a square = 4×a

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

Area of rectangle = l×b

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Solution :

We know that , as per question

Perimeter of a square = Perimeter of a rectangle

\large\green{4(a) = 2(l+b)}

\large\orange{4×15 = 2×(18+b)}

\large\orange{60 = 2×(18+b)}

\orange{\dfrac{\cancel{60}}{\cancel2} = 18+b}

\large\orange{30 = 18+b}

\large\orange{b = 30 - 18}

\large\red{\boxed{b = 12 cm}}

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Now,

Area of a rectangular blog = Length × Breadth

\large\orange{(18×12)}

\large\red{\boxed{216cm²}}
