perimeter of a square and a rectangle is same if a side of the square is 15 cm and one side of the rectangle is 18cm find the area of the rectangle

perimeter of sq.= perimeter of rec.
4×side = 2 (l+b)
4×15= 2 (18+b)
60= 36 + 2b
60-36 = 2b
24/2=b
12cm =b
area of rec.= l×b
= 18×12
=216cm^2

Length of one side of rectangle is 18cm

Let Length of the other side of rectangle is x cm

Length of side of square is 15cm

Perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square [given]

2 (Length+Breadth)=4×side

2(18+breadth)=4×15

18+breadth=60÷2

Breadth=30-18

Breadth=12cm

Hence,length of other side of rectangle is 12cm.
