Answer:

As we know, perimeter of square = 4 × length of side

Hence

32 = 4 × l (length of side)

l = 32 ÷ 4

= 8 meters

Given:

A square with

  • Perimeter = 32 m

What To Find:

We have to find the side of the square.

Formula:

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

Solution:

Using the formula,

⇒ Perimeter = 4 × side

Substitute the values,

⇒ 32 m =  4 × side

Take 4 to LHS,

⇒ 32/4 = side

Divide 32 by 4,

⇒ 8 m = side

∴ Thus, the side of the square is 8 m.

To verify:

Using the formula,

⇒ Perimeter = 4 × side

Substitute the values,

⇒ 32 m =  4 × 8 m

Multiply 4 by 8,

⇒ 32 m = 32 m

∴ LHS = RHS

∴ Hence, verified.
