Perimeter of a square room is 56 m. Another room has one side 2 m more than the first but has the same perimeter. Find the length and breadth of the second room.

side of first room = perimeter of first room/4

= 56/4 = 14m

length of second room = 14+2 = 16m

but,

PERIMETER OF FIRST ROOM = PERIMETER OF SECOND ROOM = 56m

breadth of second room = (56-2×16)/2 = 12m
