Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of the first room = 56m

side = 56/4

side = 14m

second room has 2m more than 14m

but same area

14+2

=16

now 16=length of second room

as we know two different quantities( l and b)

make up rectangle

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

l = 16

b=?

perimeter =56 (given in the question that its same)

so,

2(16+b)=56

32+b= 56

b=56-32

b= 24

so, the dimensions of second room are breadth = 24m

length = 16m
