Answer:

27.7 sq.cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The Perimeter of an Equilateral Triangle is 24 cm.

Hence, the value of one side, is 24/3 = 8 cm.

Area of an Equilateral Triangle is:- (√3a^2)

                                                          -----------

                                                               4

in this case, value of a is 8, a = side.

√3 * 8^2

---------------

      4

√3 * 64

------------

     4

√3 * 16

Which is approximately equal to 27.7 sq.cm

Perimeter of ∆ = 24 cm.

Side of ∆ = 24 ÷ 3

= 8 cm.

Two find the height of ∆ we will use Pythagorean theorem.

.°. ( 4 )² + ( x )² = ( 8 )² cm

16 + x² = 64

x² = 64 - 16

x² = 48

= 6.93

.°. Height is 6.93 cm.

Area of ∆ = ½ × b × h

= ½ × 8 × 6.93

= 4 × 6.93

= 27.72 cm².
