First of all, they say that each side of the square is 6 cm. The perimeter of a square is 4 times the length of a side, because there are 4 sides and they are all the same length. So that means that the perimeter is 4 x 6 = 24 cm.

Equilateral triangle side 24mm

Side of square 3 × 24/4 = 18mm

Area of square=18 × 18 = 324mm²

Hope it helps uh !!
