we know in an equilateral triangle all 3 sides are having equal lengths. So if perimeter is 18 cm, lenght of each side of the triangle is (18÷3)=6 cm
now using this length of each side we can find the area of the triangle by the formula
area= {(√3)÷4}×(length of each side of triangle)^2
so in this problem,
area = {(√3)÷4} × (6)^2
= {(√3)÷4} × 36
= 15.59 cm square
