Let length be l and breadth be b, so that perimeter = 2(l+b) = 18 cm

So, 2(l + b) = 18 cm

or, l + b = 18/2 = 9 cm

The possible pairs of the rectangle's lengths and breadths are:

• 8 cm and 1 cm, or
• 7 cm and 2 cm, or
• 6 cm and 3 cm, or
• 5 cm and 4 cm.
