perimeter of the square = 40 m

then, the perimeter of rectangle = (2÷5×40)−2

=(16 - 2)m

=14m

let length of the rectangle be x

then breadth of the rectangle = x÷3

the perimeter of rectangle = 2(x+x÷3)

= 2 ×(4x÷3)

= 8x ÷3

According to question,

8x÷3 = 14

8x =14×3

x =42÷8 =5.25 m

length = 5.25 m

breadth = (5.25÷3) m

= 1.75 m
