Perimeter of Rectangle=2(l+b)

ATQ,

2(20+b)=30

20+b=30/2

b=15-20

b=-5

The breadth is coming negative.

I think there is something wrong in the question.

Answer:

The breadth of the rectangle will be -5cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The perimeter of the rectangle is 30 cm, and length is 20 cm.

We have to find the breadth of the rectangle.

  • As we know, the perimeter of the rectangle is calculated by the formula: P=2(l+w)

Where,

l = length,

w = width

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

The perimeter of the rectangle is 30 cm, and the length is 20 cm.

So, the breadth of the rectangle will be:

P=2(l+w)\\30=2(20+w)\\30=40+2w\\30-40=2w\\-10=2w\\\\\frac{-10}{2} =w\\\\w=-5

Hence, the breadth of the rectangle will be -5cm.

Note:

Q. The perimeter of the rectangle is 30 cm, and the length is 20 cm, find the breadth of the rectangle.
