Let the breadth be X.

Now,

Perimeter= 2(l+b)

36=2(10+x)

10+x=36/2

10+x=18

x=18-10

x=8

Hence the breadth is 8

Answer:

perimeter = 36m

length = 10m

breadth= ?

Step-by-step explanation: formula

perimeter = 2(l+b)

       36 =   2(10+b)

        36 = 20 + 2b

      36 - 20 = 2b

      16 =  2b

      b = 16/2

      b = 8

    therefore , breadth = 8m

                               RECHECK

                                p = 2(l+b)

                               36 = 2(10+8)

                               36=36

                                 l.h.s = r.h.s

                           hence, proved
