Answer:

128 m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter = 48

Length = 2x

Breadth = 1x

To find the perimeter of a rectangle we do = 2(l*b)

We will substitute l and b by 2x and 1x.

2(2x+1x) = 48

4x+2x = 48

6x = 48

x = 48/6

x = 8

Breadth = 8 m

Length = 16 m

Finding The Area:

To find the area of the rectangle we multiply the length i.e. 16 by the breadth i.e 8.

16*8 = 128m^{2}

Soln:-

A = 128m²

expln:-

l = 2b , Perimeter = 48m. (given)

Perimeter of the rectangle :-

C = 2(l+b) = 48

2(2b+b) = 48

2(3b) = 48

6b = 48

b = 8

l = 2b = 2(8) = 16

Area of the rectangle:-

l = 16m, b = 8m

A = lb

= 16(8)

= 128m²
