Question:-

What is the perimeter of the rectangle whose length is  \frac{20}{3} and breadth is  \frac{9}{2}

Solution:-

Given,

Length of rectangle =  \frac{20}{3}

Breadth of rectangle =  \frac{9}{2}

We have,

Perimeter of rectangle is 2(length+Breadth)

So, Perimeter =

2( \frac{20}{3}  +  \frac{9}{2} )

LCM = 2×3 = 6

So,

2 \times ( \frac{20 \times 2}{3 \times 2} +  \frac{9 \times 3}{2 \times 3} )

2 \times ( \frac{40}{6}  +  \frac{27}{6} )

2 \times ( \frac{40 + 27}{6} )

2 \times ( \frac{67}{6} )

 =  >  \frac{67}{3}

Perimeter of rectangle is \frac{67}{3} cm
