Ratio of length and breadth of rectangular park is 2:1

Let the ratio be x

So, Length = 2 x

Breadth = x

Perimeter of rectangular park = 2(l+b)=2(2x+x)=6x

The perimeter of a rectangular park is 180m

So, 6x=180

x=30

So, length =2x=2(30)=60 m

Breadth = 30 m

Area of park = length * breadth = 60*30 =1800

Hence the area of the rectangle is 1800 sq.m.

Answer:

  • Area of park = 1800 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Perimeter of Rectangular park = 180 m
  • Ratio of length and breadth = 2:1

To Find:

  • Area of Rectangle.

Let, Length of park be '2x'

And, Breadth of park be 'x'.

Now, we know that

=> Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b)

=> 180 = 2(2x + x)

=> 180 = 2(3x)

=> 180 = 6x

=> x = 180/6

=> x = 30

Hence,

  • Length of park = 2x = 60 m
  • Breadth of park = x = 30 m

Now, we will calculate area of park.

=> Area of park = l × B

=> Area of park = 60 × 30

=> Area of park = 1800 m²
