As we know that the perimeter of a circle is 2πr.

So, it's half would be πr but here comes a twist !

A line is also obtained when a circle is cut into two which is the diameter and we have to add it if we want to find the perimeter.

So, the actual perimeter of a semi - circle would be:-

=πr + d

We can re - write it as :-

= π x $\frac{d}{2}$ + d

= $\frac{πd}{2}$ + d

Or simply $\frac{1}{2}$ x π x d + d
