Given :-

  • Perimeter of triangle → 60 cm.
  • Ratio of sides → 1 : 3 : 2.

Have to Find :-

  • What's the smallest side.

Solution :-

As we know that perimeter of triangle is sum of its all sides.

From given we know the ratio.

So, let we consider the sides be " 1x " , " 3x " and " 2x " respectively.

Perimeter ⇒ a + b + c

a ⇒ " 1x "

b ⇒ " 3x "

c ⇒ " 2x "

Substituting the values in the formula.

⇒ 1x + 2x + 3x = 60

⇒ 6x = 60

⇒ x = 60/6

x = 10 cm

Therefore,

  • First side = 1x = 1 × 10 = 10 cm.
  • Second side = 3x = 3 × 10 = 30 cm.
  • Third side = 2x = 2 × 10 = 20 cm.

Hence,

First side is the smallest one of measurement 10 cm.
