now, p=side x 4

40=side x 4

side=40/4=10

thus, side = 10 ;

now as rhombus is a quadrilateral it diagonal bisect at right angle so we get,

half diagonal = 16/2=8;

thus, 10^{2}=8^{2}+x^{2}

x^{2}=\sqrt{36}=6

area =1/2 of (product of diGONALS)

1/2 X 16 X 12

= 96 sq.cm^2
