Given,

Perimeter = 56 units , length = 20 units.

we know that,

perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

let the breadth be x,

According to the question,

2(20 + x) = 56 \\ 40 + 2x = 56 \\ 2x = 56 - 40 \\ 2x = 16 \\ x =  \frac{16}{2}  \\  x= 8 \: units

Therefore,the breadth is 8 units :)

Given:-

  • Perimeter of a rectangle is 56 units.
  • Length of a rectangle is 20 units.

To find:-

  • Breadth of a rectangle.

Solution:-

Here,

  • Perimeter = 56 units
  • Length (l) = 20 units

Let,

  • the breadth of a rectangle be b.

According to the question

We know that,

⇛ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

→ 56 = 2(l + b)

→ 56 = 2(20 + b)

→ 56 = 40 + 2b

→ 56 - 40 = 2b

→ 16 = 2b

→ b = 16/2

b = 8 units

Hence,

  • the breadth of a rectangle is 8 units.
